    We’re partnering with one of Europe’s fastest growing packaging groups, with 16 locations across 8 countries and over 1500 employees.
    The business creates and manufactures innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for FMCG, QSR and HORECA markets across Europe.
    The opportunity
    What are we looking for?
    The site produces a variety of finished packaging solutions for the food industries, with several innovative and added value technologies.
    We’re looking for a talented operational professional, who would have several years of experience of managing teams, ideally within the packaging industry or similar.
    The ideal individual would be someone looking for real career development, as this could be a great opportunity for someone looking for their next step into site leadership.
    As Plant Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the day-to-day operations and managing the local site team of about 25 employees, reporting into the Group Operations Director.
    What about the future?
    For the right individual, once the site has been developed the individual would be expected to gain further experience working on group projects.
    Key Responsibilities
    Manage and oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments. Lead New Product Development initiatives in collaboration with Sales and group departments. Lead and inspire a team of approximately 25 employees, both directly and indirectly. Serve as the primary point of contact for the group’s leadership, providing regular updates and reports. Focus on operational excellence, driving continuous improvements in efficiency, processes, safety, service, and product quality. Handle workforce planning, recruitment, training, and organizational structuring to ensure optimal productivity across the board. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on all plant operations, including regular management reviews. Foster a collaborative and communicative
    Key Requirements
    What will you need?
    Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics or similar, or in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred). Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with 5-10 years in a production environment, ideally with management experience overseeing an industrial organization. Prior experience in the Packaging Industry will be considered a plus Fluent in English (both written and spoken); mother tongue French. Strong understanding of production processes and experience in international operations or trade. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers. Hands-on mentality with a strong work ethic, able to act in a disciplined, high-quality, and dynamic environment.
    Competencies
    Strong coaching and team leadership abilities. Results-oriented with a focus on operational execution. Sales acumen and negotiation skills in the role as sparring partner for the sales organisation. Experience managing process improvements. Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
    Remuneration / Package
    Discussed at interview: Permanent contract: Fixed salary, bonus up to 10%, Company Car.
