ABOUT YOUR ROLE As part of our strong growth, we are looking for a Product Manager to reinforce the R&D team aiming at starting with our Cyber product and to be replicated on specific other products already launched by Descartes.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Descartes Underwriting is seeking an Operations Project Analyst to join our Operations Team .
Our Operations Team underpins every aspect of Descartes Underwriting and Descartes Insurance activity, ensuring that our business processes run smoothly and efficiently from lead generation all the way to accounting flows and claims payments. In an environment where the Salesforce platform plays a critical role in our daily operations, the Operations Project Team implements, maintains and runs business tools that help our business logic.
Joining us means getting hands-on experience with impactful projects, collaborating across departments and countries, gaining in-depth understanding of complex insurance proceedings, and being part of a team that’s always looking for ways to improve and innovate while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a positive experience for policyholders.
You will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units and play a vital role in the following activities:
Project Support
Assist in the execution, and monitoring of projects related to the Operating platform (mostly related to Salesforce projects and the other tools supported by the Operations Project Team);
Contribute to the evolution, configuration and customization of Salesforce and other tools related to Salesforce to adjust our growing business. For instance, run the necessary configurations in order to book a new product;
Craft new flows and implement work flows to support Salesforce users and automate their work. For instance, provide a workflow on Salesforce to help our Claims team to book claims;
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and the deployment of new Salesforce features and functionalities, support the technical development team (DSD) to create automated UAT;
Provide initial user support to all Salesforce users (Sales, Ops, Finance, CIO office, DSD, ...) to make them autonomous on their Salesforce task;
Contribute to the creation of training materials, to support the deployment of solutions in our teams across the world and to ensure a deep understanding of Salesforce functionality and best practices.
Development and data model
Adhere to development, deployment and maintenance best practices;
With other development teams within Descartes, contribute and comment design document before starting project impacting data model or API;
Support the development of data quality monitoring and improvement initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce and potentially other BI tools to provide stakeholders with key operational metrics that drive informed decision-making and improved efficiency;
Create data visualizations using tools like BI, or Salesforce reports.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all platforms in collaboration with other data stakeholders through a robust internal control framework.
Documentation
~ Create and maintain clear and concise technical tools documentation

ABOUT YOU
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Graduated from a Business or Engineering school;
Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
SKILLS
In depth understanding of Salesforce data structures and objects (e.g., Accounts, Opportunities, Leads, Contacts) and Custom objects;
Very good knowledge of implementation and maintenance system customizations, including page layouts, lighting record page, workflow rules, validation rules, and flows;
SQL mastery;
Knowledge of deployment best practices (for instance as development - stagging - production environments , bugfix process , etc.)
Familiarity with Salesforce APIs, Apex and tools to bulk import or export data (e.g. data loader, Salesforce inspector) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
